Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Nexural (“Nexural”, “we”, “us”) handles information in the Nexural iOS app (the “App”) and on Nexural.net (the “Site”).

Our privacy-first approach

Nexural is designed to be local-first. That means the App is built to process your prompts on-device and to minimize data collection. We don’t want your private conversations — and we don’t need them to provide the core experience.

Information processed on your device

Prompts, inputs, and outputs

The content you type into Nexural and the outputs you receive are processed locally on your iPhone during normal use. We do not receive this content on our servers for inference.

The App may store app content locally on your device so you can review history and continue conversations. You can delete content from within the App, and deleting the App removes locally stored data from your device.

Device backups (iCloud / Finder)

Depending on your iOS settings, your device may back up App data (including conversation history) to Apple via iCloud Backup or to your computer via Finder/iTunes backups. We do not control these backups. If you want to avoid backups for the App, you can disable iCloud Backup for your device or manage which apps are included in backups in iOS.

Information you choose to share with us

Support communications

If you contact us (for example, by email), we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message contents, and any attachments. We use this information to respond and provide support.

Exports and sharing

The App may allow you to export or share content (for example, copying text or using the iOS share sheet). When you do, the destination you choose (an app, service, or recipient) will receive that content, and their policies will apply.

Information we collect

Website hosting logs

Nexural.net is a static site, but like most websites it may be served through infrastructure providers (for example, GitHub Pages and/or a CDN such as Cloudflare, depending on your setup). These providers may process basic request data to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps.

App Store and platform data

If you download the App through the Apple App Store, Apple may collect information such as purchase history, subscription status, and device information as part of providing their services. We do not control Apple’s collection, and their practices are governed by Apple’s policies.

Diagnostics and crash reports (if enabled)

If you have enabled sharing diagnostics with developers in iOS, Apple may provide us with crash reports or performance diagnostics related to the App. These reports typically include technical information (like device model, OS version, and app version) and may include context about the state of the App at the time of a crash.

We do not use third‑party analytics SDKs in the Site. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate choices where required.

Information we do not collect

• No account registration is required for the App’s core experience.
• We do not receive your prompts on our servers for cloud inference during normal use.
• We do not sell personal data.

How we use information

We use information only as needed to:

• Provide and improve Nexural
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain safety and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information only when:

• You ask us to (for example, via a support request)
• Service providers process limited data on our behalf (for example, email delivery or website hosting)
• Required to comply with law or a valid legal request
• Needed to protect rights, safety, and security

Legal bases (EEA/UK and similar jurisdictions)

Where applicable, we process information based on: (a) performance of a contract (providing the App and responding to your requests), (b) our legitimate interests (maintaining, securing, and improving Nexural), and (c) your consent (for example, if you choose to share diagnostics with developers in iOS).

Data retention

App data is stored on your device and remains there until you delete it or uninstall the App. Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable record‑keeping. Website request logs are retained according to the policies of the hosting/CDN providers involved.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information we handle. For on-device content, your device security controls (such as passcode/Face ID) play an important role. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Your choices and rights

• Delete app content: Remove conversations within the App and/or uninstall the App.
• Backups: Control iCloud/Finder backups in iOS settings.
• Support: You can request deletion of support communications by emailing us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, deletion, or portability). Because the App is designed to keep content on-device, we may not be able to access your in-app content to fulfill certain requests — but we’ll help you understand your options.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. The Site does not respond to DNT signals because it does not use third‑party tracking scripts.

Children’s privacy

Nexural is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we’ll update the effective date above and post the revised policy on this page.
